I recently had the chance to talk with the guy from Tragic Hero Records’ newest signing Everyone Dies In Utah.
Audiopinions: The biggest news out of your camp is signing with Tragic Hero Records. What was this process like?
Danny: The process was a little long but at the same time it gave us time to make sure everything within our contract was pretty solid
AO: What bands currently signed on Tragic Hero Records are you guys excited to play with?
Dustin: Confide, We Are Defiance, Lions Tigers Bears, Eyes Like Diamonds, and Greeley Estates. We’ve been listening to Confide and Greeley Estates for a few years now so I’m really stoked on that.
AO: How would you describe your music to listeners that haven’t heard you before?
Justin: I would have to say our music would be described as hardcore with a mix of techno, synth leads and rhythmatic keys to top it all off, a lot of catchy choruses. We like to be very diverse with each song to target a bigger audience
AO: Do you guys have your new record already recorded? If not when and where are you guys planning on recording?
Dustin: We have not recorded yet. We go in to the studio on August 14th in Bethesda, Maryland with Taylor Larson who recently did Sky Eats Airplane’s new material.
AO: Are there any Fall or Winter tour plans in the works that you may or may not be able to tell us about?
Dustin: There are plans for us to start touring by this Fall but I don’t have much details just yet.
AO: If you could cover any song, what song would it be and why?
Dustin: We’re actually working on a cover right now but I can’t give it away just yet.
AO: What are your thoughts on illegal downloading and CDs getting leaked onto the internet?
Dustin: I think it’s a great way for people who can’t afford to buy our CD to still be able to listen to our music. Even though they got our music for free they are still listening to it and that’s what matters the most to us.
